There were so many shots which I wanted to share, not because the couple look good (but they sure are) or because of nice composition but it was because the moments captured were real – the glances that you gave each other, the abundance of smiles and laughter. I already posted up some shots of the groom fetching the bride earlier on. Here are some shots taken during their church wedding ceremony.

Pit Yong & Siaw Fang, congratulations again on your wedding. Thanks again for having me shoot your wedding ceremony. I had tons of fun that day and it was really nice being part of your BIG day. Here’s wishing you two many more happy days together in the years to come!

Black & White

June 23, 2009 | Category: Wedding | 1 Comment

I’m currently experimenting with saturation or more appropriately de-saturation of an image… making them black & white, blocking the distraction of colors. Black & white photography is about the black, the white, and all the tones in between. It’s raw & refined, natural & unusual, bold & subtle, mysterious & open, emotional & impassive, simple & complex, black & white & everything in between.

Below are some photos taken during Maccy’s make-up session for her BIG day on the 10th of Jun & has been tweaked. How’s the effect??

It was a fine Friday morning. We met up with the lovely couple, Calvin & Emmelina at C121 coffee shop for breakfast before heading to Friendship Park, Jln Song for the photo shoot. The sky was blue. A perfect day, albeit slightly hot  for a FUN photoshoot. Faith, my wife was the “Voice Activated Lightstand” & another friend, Roy was there to assist in this photoshoot as a reflector/diffuser boy. Calvin & Emmelina was great during the photoshoot, willing to try different poses. I’ll let the pictures do all the talking.
